Can you introduce yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am Ishara Lakitha, 27 years old and presently Brand Head Poruwa.lk and the Head of the customer support team at Poruwa.lk I have been working with Poruwa.lk for almost 4 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does it feel to reach one million successful matches?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s an awesome achievement for all of us. We feel like our mission has always been to provide a secure and reliable way of finding the right partner for life. By reaching one million matches we know we\u2019ve helped a million people find the right relationship-and that\u2019s a lot of people, for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you satisfy your customers? Any memorable moments?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We at Poruwa.lk provide our users with a personalized and complete experience. We care about your privacy. We offer verified profiles. We provide customer service with professional expertise in their sphere. That\u2019s why we update our features regularly as their needs change.
One memorable interaction for me was when one of our customers called us and told me that her daughter was so happy because, through our platform, she had found her dream boy. The feeling she had was the reason for why we do what we do, each customer is important to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In your view, what features helped Poruwa.lk reach this milestone?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of that aside, we stand out by following the highest principles of privacy and security in our application. We have verified profiles, identity checks, and controlled visibility (that means not all profiles are publicly accessible).

What obstacles did you come across going from one million matches?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the inception our biggest challenge was building trust: people were skeptical about online matrimonial services and preferred traditional matchmaking.
To address this we introduced many good privacy features and ID verification along with our virtual agent service that allowed users (or their parents) to register easily. That greatly increased confidence in our platform and helped us to grow very fast in word of mouth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do you ensure privacy, security, and trust?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the basis of our service security, we use strong encryption techniques, concrete data protection rules and perform manual profiling to make sure that everything remains safe.
Our ID verification system has drastically reduced fake accounts and ensured that genuine users can connect confidently. Moreover,users have full control over their profiles-they decide what\u2019s visible and to whom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What can you say about the team behind Poruwa.lk\u2019s success?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our people are our greatest strength. From developers to marketers to support staff. Every person at our company works towards the same goal of helping people find meaningful connections. What\u2019s next for Poruwa.lk after reaching this milestone?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is only the beginning. Our strategy is to go global, mainly to serve Sri Lankan groups that live abroad.
We\u2019re also working on upgrading our mobile app and are planning to offer personalized matchmaking services (with high-end features) but our ambition will always be the same: to provide a safe, private, and culturally diverse place to meet life partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
